Our Mission

In the struggle for a better world, left and progressive civil society should take a leading role. Loosely organized into thousands of NGOs, broad social movements, academic think-tanks and relatively isolated community-based initiatives, it lacks, however, a key component: infrastructure. Despite periodic gatherings of activists, no framework exists today for regular networking, collective analysis, professional training, strategizing, planning of joint actions, follow-up or evaluation on a global level. Yet no struggle for justice can succeed unless it offers a compelling alternative to the current hegemony of transnational capitalism and develops the means to translate its program into an effective movement.

The People, Yes! Network (TPYN), registered as an international NGO in Belgium by a core group of veteran grassroots activists, seeks to foster a global movement of systemic change, of genuine counter-hegemony, by providing the needed infrastructural support.
